Explore social and political issues, with particular focus in domestic violenc, imigration and human rights."Till death Do Us Part " is a art installation about domestic violence, provides interactive forums for investigation, communication, understanding and change. It is a international traveling exhibition from Puerto Rico to Cuba, Germany, Costa Rica and NYC,USA given voice to the now silenced. The work's content, documentation of deaths of 100 puertorican women from domestic violence, compiled from Puerto Rico Police Records covering a 3 year period in early 1990s. The Domestic Violence Law was firm in Puerto Rico in 1989. "Till death Do Us Part " consist of 100 ornately painted wooden niches, each niches representing a woman murdered by her loved one. The niches are arranged in rows and positioned into a large-scale wall-like structure. Written in a florid script at the base of the wall are the victim's names and the dates of their birth and death. The center of the pice is a fragmented figure. The metaphor of the fragmentation of the body is seen thoughout the work in disembodied legs, hands, mouths, and ears and reflects the devastation of family and soociety.
