Sameera Samvedana Samiti initiated in 2007 by means of its prime objectives of awareness on the different aspects of environment, health issues and human rights by focusing access to justice and prevention of AIDS, work with the rural community by ensuring involvement of women, child and youth from marginalized through empowerment in all dimensions by availing various opportunities of access to justice ,better quality of education ,health facilities and environmental knowledge . The expertise working for Sameera provides their dedicated support on different aspect especially on violence against women. The organization aims to provide a platform from where women, child and youth bring social as well as environment change in order to build a healthier society. The organization is also doing meaningful intervention to create a society which is based on justice and equality. The organization also runs a short stay home to provide support to survivor of domestic violence. We are doing advocacy for women rights by supporting her in access to justice .Various efforts has been done on health awareness especially focus on AIDS and its prevention. The health expertises have provided knowledge on AIDS to the communities.
India has the third largest number of people living with HIV/AIDS. As an NGO based in Madhya Pradesh we note that the basic awareness about the pandemic is limited. While the government of India is working towards setting up the necessary policy framework for creating awareness, the implementation process still requires deliberation. The meeting will provide us the platform to voice the issues that we have faced while trying to create awareness about the disease and also learn from the experiences of the NGOs based in other nations
