Women’s Democracy Network was established in March 2006 by International Republican Institute. . Georgia chapter was created in December 2007 by Maia Melikidze. In March 2011 WDNG was established as official NGO in Georgia.
The mission of WDNG is to promote training and networking facilities for Georgian women. Encourage them, to be actively involved in politics and civil society. Goals of WDN Georgia chapter are: Support Georgian women to become active in the politics, civil society and professional fields. Support Georgian youth to gain knowledge, through non-formal education.
WDNG members are women from 20 to 35 years old with different background. WDNG unites young professionals from economical, medical, juridical sphere as well as international relations; journalism; architect and social sciences.
