Drink: She’d had a drink, maybe three. A clear sign that she was up for it.
Who in their right mind judges a woman in that way for having had a few?

Dress: With a skirt that short, she might as well have tattooed ‘I’m all yours’ across her face.
When is it ever acceptable to give a woman unwelcome sexual attention because of her choice of clothes?

Demeanour: A real live wire. She should have toned it down if she hadn’t wanted trouble from the lads.
What sort of a control freak dictates how a woman should behave because he can’t control his urges?

Domestic: She should accept that in marriage - someone has to wear the trousers.
Married or un-married, what gives any man the right to force sex on a woman?

Rape. Sexual assault. Let’s stop blaming the victim.

We live in an ugly culture of victim blame. The rapist and society use the same, tired old excuses, time and time again- she was promiscuous, she was drunk, her skirt was so VERY short… She was asking for it…..

Physical violence towards women, behaviours that threaten, intimidate, hurt and violate must never be accepted, condoned or excused. We all have a duty to stop blaming the victim, and to create a culture where a woman feels that she is free and safe to report rape or assault without being blamed, ridiculed or humiliated for doing so.
