The United Nations Regional Information Centre for Western Europe (UNRIC) has partnered with Fabrica, the Benetton research centre on communication, to bring together art and design students in Europe to develop video content to raise awareness about violence against women and girls. Developed as silent video exhibits, the videos are being publicly displayed across Europe in large media walls to mark the International Day to End Violence against Women on 25 November, and the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence.

Part of the Live Windows project, students from Scream school in Moscow and ECV Nantes, in France, produced a series of animations to be screened as part of the 16 days of Activism Against Gender Violence.

Watch and share the videos with your friends and colleagues. Spread the word during the 16 days to add to the global chorus of youth saying NO to Violence Against Women.

Check out the videos here: http://www.unric.org/en/fabrica-unric or click to watch them in the video section of this page.

About the Live Windows Project:

Live Windows is a design project implemented by Fabrica, the Benetton research centre on communication, to grab the attention of passers-by, substituting traditional store windows with huge media-walls, often as large as 6 x 3 metre, to provide an experience outside the store, both visual and interactive.

The United Nations Regional Information Centre for Western Europe (UNRIC) has been actively involved in the Live Windows project since April 2012. Prestigious European design schools and academies produce content highlighting UN observances which are shown on the storefront Live Windows and shared through social media channels. Over the course of our partnership with the Live Windows project we have been fortunate enough to receive contribution from leading art design schools and academies from around Europe.  These include, IED and Elisava in Barcelona, Mediadesign Hochschule and Macromedia Hochschule für Medien und Kommunikation in Munich, British Higher School of Art and Design and Scream school in Moscow, and Ecole de Communication Visuelle in Nantes, to mention just a few.
