The Asia-Pacific regional component of the UNiTE campaign was launched in Bangkok on 25 November 2010. It is building partnerships across sectors to strengthen political will and resources to prevent violence against women and girls, end impunity, and provide support services for survivors.
To assist in the advocacy activities of our country teams and partners, the Asia-PAcific UNiTE team has created a range of UNiTE-branded regional advocacy materials, including bags, posters, notebooks and stickers to be shared at events and meetings and used as gifts.
Across the region, the campaign is being used as an overarching framework to improve the coordination and impact of our work, develop and implement laws and action plans, strengthen data, and raise awareness amongst key stakeholders of the urgency to end all forms of violence against women and girls.
By linking the important work being done at local and national level with wider regional and global efforts, UNiTE offers a unique opportunity to accelerate progress for ending violence against women and girls.
