On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, UN Women Pakistan organized an endorsement ceremony for the UN Country Team to endorse the code of conduct under the newly adopted “Protection against Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act 2010”. All Heads of UN Agencies present signed endorsement cards to express their commitment towards the implementation of the law.

The objectives included adopting a way forward strategy for implementing the code of conduct,  the amendment in PPC section 509” which protects women against sexual harassment at workplace and at public places, establishing a gender sensitive standing enquiry committee at country level to address the issue, and to work with the government of Pakistan towards ending sexual harassment at workplace. The passing of the "Protection against Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act 2010” was the result of a very long advocacy of civil society effort with support of the international organizations.
