Jeannette Corberie Lavell, President of the Native Women's Association gave an inspiring talk about the lives of Aborignal Women, and the work of NWAC and the Missing and Murdered Women. She spoke passionately about her experience with other Indigenous women, and how important it is for us to support the Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women. She received a standing ovation.
After a short break, the audience enjoyed a musical performance by Nikki Kimaksiutiksak and a group of girls doing Throat Singing. They were followed by Troy Westwood Little-Hawk who sang 3 songs, targeted especially to young men.
