Panel Discussion, "We CAN End Violence Against Women!"

PANEL DISCUSSION, “WE CAN END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN!” The panel consists of three experts from the Heller MA/SID program representing different regions of the world, namely- South Asia, Africa, Latin America and the USA. The panel will discuss the constraints development practitioners face while trying to end violence against women and strategies that can be used to address violence against women in the field. The panel hopes to promote the idea that “violence against women” is not isolated in conflict areas or developing countries; it is a worldwide phenomenon that needs urgent action. Professor Kelley Ready, a Heller professor, anthropologist and gender and human rights activist, will moderate the panel discussion. 35 people attended the panel discussion.
