Speaking about religious role on elimination violence against women

On Feb. 25th 2011 Al-Hakim Foundation co-sponsored a side event with World Councile for Religons for Peace 
Panel: Religion, women and armed conflict Faith agency to end violence and 
secure maternal health.

In this panel Ms. Layla Alkhafaji, Director of international relations, Al-Hakim 
Foundation and Former Member of Iraqi parliament spoke about the initiative of Islamic Day of Anti 
Violence against Women and the role of religons on elimination VAW

also Ms. Al-Khafaji displayed the results of the first national survay in Iraq about VAW which was done by Al-Hakim foundation
