A historic Bill criminalizing physical and sexual violence against women and girls is being processed by Nigerian National assembly on July 6th. The Bill has been rejected twice, in 2010 and 2011. It now has the support of 5 legislators, but 120 are need for it to pass.
Please show your support for the Bill urgently and help LACVAW, a coalition of 70 NIgerian and international rights groups, advocate for the passing of the Bill. Visit www.nigeriacountdown.com to sign the petition and please share this call to action as widely as you can. We have one more day to make a difference!
