Violence Against Women Ends With You: Gender Sensitivity Training Workshops for Youth

UN WOMEN East and Southeast Asia has been conducting gender sensitivity training workshops for youth through 2009.

What do the trainings accomplish?

  • Building knowledge on gender-stereotyping, on the causes, myths and impacts of various forms of violence against women, and on trafficking for commercial and sexual exploitation of women and girls

  • Developing action plans to implement after the trainings

What happens after the trainings?

  • Creating Facebook groups to stay in touch with their peers and discuss issues

  • Video and PowerPoint Presentations at Assemblies in schools
