What happens when prison is safer than the love of your life?

SIN BY SILENCE chronicles the journey of Brenda Clubine and her fellow inmates - all serving sentences for killing their abusive husbands.  While rapists can serve as little as 36 months and manslaughter charges can end in less than five years, Brenda has served an astonishing 26 years for acting in self-defense.  Her fight for justice, as well as her role in establishing the first ever inmate-run support group for battered women and working to change the laws in California, is a must-see.
