The Sputh African Parliament's  Portfolio Committee on Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities issued a press release on the website to mark the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence, stressing for stringent parliamentary oversight, and provided an overview of action taken by the parliament since 2009
