Organization Description:
The Canadian Committee for UN WOMEN is a volunteer driven organization based in Ottawa. It has a chapter in Winnipeg. Toronto, Montreal and Nova Scotia chapters are currently in development. Our mission is to advocate for gender equality, to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS among girls and women, to reduce violence towards women and to strengthen democratic participation of women in peace and in war. To achieve these goals, we advocate and fund raise in Canada for UN WOMEN.
