Zonta Club of Kankakee
Zonta Club of Kankakee is a member of Zonta International. The mission of Zonta International and thus the mission of Zonta club of Kankakee's, is to advance the status of women through service, education, and advocacy. Service projects of Zonta Club on Kankakee for the 2010-2012 Biennium include Harbor House, KC-CASA, and Center of Hope - Car Repair Grants. Scholarships available to young women include The Amelia Earhart Fellowhsip Award, the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship, and the Young Women in Public Affairs Award. Zonta International provides grants for ZISVAW. Finally the Zonta Club of Kankakee advocates for women by organizing events such as The Empowerment Walk and Take Back the Night Rally.
